Campers must bring a swimsuit and towel (for afternoon swim), sneakers, snack, lunch, and beverage.
Our degreed and certified instructor Noreen will teach your 7- to 12-year-old kids the importance of balance, flexibility, and strength through yoga. Share this ancient practice with them in a fun, age-appropriate environment.
Back by popular demand! Children will learn the fundamentals of passing, catching, running and defending in this fun environment. Games will be played on our state-of-the-art rubberized multipurpose floor. Each child must have a mouth guard to participate and all players will receive a team flag football shirt.
For those students who cannot get enough basketball. The Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center Basketball program focuses on the recreational play of basketball. Our goal is to teach each player about the game and provide them with equal amounts of playing time while having FUN! Coaches are volunteers who have varied levels of basketball knowledge. Parents interested in coaching, please contact Roger Manion. For more information or to register, please call (518) 867-8920 or complete the form below.
Seasonal Youth Recreational Programs include Parents Night Out, Crazy Relays, Youth Boot Camp, Youth Boxing Boot Camp, sports clinics, one-day tournaments, and more.
Youth Recreational Leagues vary seasonally. Leagues run for basketball, flag football, and indoor lacrosse. Basketball Leagues span about an 8-week period for each league, with four separate leagues offered throughout the year. We also offer a basketball league for individuals with special needs, “Shooting Stars” in the first quarter of each year.
Our gymnasium houses a 72-foot long enclosed baseball batting tunnel. Rental times are limited to weekend mornings between 7:00 and 9:00 AM, and rental schedules should be arranged by team coaches with our Recreation Manager. While players are batting, coaches can utilize the remainder of the area to work on infield play, pitching and other fundamentals.
The newest addition to our school-year offerings is our Home School Physical Education program. This is a structured PE class for school-aged children that includes an hour of sports in the gymnasium, and an hour of swimming (swim instruction and games in the activity pool.) This program, as are many of our recreational programs, is appropriate for children with special needs.
