Eileen felt unhealthy and was struggling to lose weight. She had tried more than a dozen diets, but had no success. Eileen knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but she was ready to put in the hard work, effort and time to live a happier and healthier life.
“I was on vacation and I was unable to do the activities I had always enjoyed before my weight gain. That’s when it hit me: my lightbulb moment. I decided I needed to change. Not only did I want to be healthy for myself but for my daughter as well!” said Eileen.
To begin her health and fitness journey, Eileen worked with Personal Training Coordinator Amber Fetzer at the Rudy A. Ciccotti Recreation Center. With dedication and hard work, Eileen lost over 70lbs! Eileen’s routine included working out for one hour, three times a week, living an active lifestyle and closely watching the foods she ate. There were tough times when Eileen would hit a plateau but she never gave up.
“I have gained so much from this lifestyle change,” Eileen says, “and not only did I improve my quality of life, my mood, my confidence and my health but I know I’ve added more years to my life and there’s no better reward than that!”
